Asana Ambassador & City Event Leader Shawnee Leonard is kicking off a quarterly Anatomy of Work fireside chat series that is based on Asana’s annual Anatomy of Work Index report. Each quarter, we’ll have featured speakers to discuss various topics regarding the future of work. January’s fireside chat - we’ll be leading a discussion on pain points that organizations are experiencing regarding project management, productivity barriers, burnout, imposter syndrome, and more. Valerie Rocio is the Founder and CEO of Lumos Creative, a Dallas-based Content Creation Agency that specializes in marketing strategy, content creation and management, photography and videography, website and graphic design, and branding. Valerie founded Lumos Creative with the mission to support women-owned businesses by enhancing their online presence and brand awareness while also supporting females in the digital space. Lumos Creative is a remote team of female creatives across the nation. After launching Lumos Creative in 2018 at the age of 24, Valerie has grown the company to be an established, prominent agency in the Dallas community.

Munira Syeda is a PR Consultant and founder of a social impact startup Chic & Gold. Over the past two decades, she has worked as a reporter, and then in public relations for nonprofits, startup entrepreneurs, and small businesses. She worked for an advocacy organization, where she helped amplify the dynamic voices of American Muslims, and led PR stints for social impact groups. In 2020, as the world went into lockdown, Munira set out on a new venture, to economically empower Pakistani women artisans and bring their beautiful handicrafts to the U.S. market. Munira received her B.S. in biology from California State University, Pomona, and her Master's in Journalism from U.C. Berkeley.
Shawnee is a social media + marketing consultant, creative director, and event producer currently residing in Dallas, Tejas. She has an associate’s in Fashion Marketing from El Centro College and a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences with concentrations in Hospitality Management and Communication & Technology from the University of North Texas in Dallas.
She is the founder of Moxie Brides Magazine, a digital publication showcasing inspiration for offbeat, alternative brides, and founder of The Ten Ninety-Nine, a local collective catered towards helping freelancers start, build and grow their business by providing them access to resources, continuing education, work opportunities and more. She has also obtained numerous leadership roles such as being on Method Seven Magazine’s editorial board as their Beauty Director, serving on the Student Event Planners Association’s National Board of Directors, Social Media Manager & Marketing Co-Chair for Dallas Startup Week, and with LAUNCH. as their Marketing Manager and Community + Social Lead.
In her free time, she’s most likely double fisting moscow mules at her favorite happy hour, being a dog mom, playing photographer + editing photos, exploring downtown dallas, and buying Fenty Beauty products from Sephora.
