Jessica Gilmartin runs regional marketing for Asana, a leading work management platform for teams. Earlier in her career, Jessica co-founded and sold Fraiche Yogurt, a successful chain of yogurt stores in the San Francisco Bay Area. She then ran product marketing for Wildfire, which was acquired by Google. After leaving Google, she ran sales, marketing, and customer support for a series of high-growth, venture-backed startups. Heather brings over a decade of experience working across a variety of disciplines within advertising, marketing, and design. She currently leads a team as Executive Creative Director of Vox Creative, Vox Media’s branded content studio. There, she works with producers, writers, designers, directors, and strategists to make things for curious, diverse audiences who are seeking substance from brands that want to stand out amidst the usual noise and clutter of content.
Prior to Vox, Heather helped build the foundation of Virtue, the Creative Agency arm of VICE, in a dual role of Group Creative Director and Head of Design. There, she worked with clients including Lululemon, Park MGM, TRESemme, Seventh Generation, Beats by Dre, Urban Decay, Dove Men+Care, and Google, touching everything from integrated campaigns to TV spots to docuseries, in addition to leading the full rebrand of the agency which rolled out globally in 2018.
Heather is interested in work that transcends advertising, in storytelling that reflects our exceptionally diverse, nuanced world, and believes brands have both the power and responsibility to make things that meaningfully and measurably contribute to people’s lives.
